Monthly Meeting - Angel Gown Charity Sew-In - Eno Memorial Hall Auditorium

We will be making Angel Gowns at the February meeting as part of our community outreach and charity project for 2020. Angel Gowns are made from donated wedding dresses and distributed among area hospitals to the parents of infants who have passed away or were stillborn. One of our members was approached last fall to see if our guild would be interested in participating and we felt this was a worthy, albeit, heartbreaking cause. The wedding dresses are used because the fabrics are gentle enough for the skin of the babies. It is a very simple pattern and should be suitable to all skill levels. Participants should bring their sewing machines and sewing supplies.
